Information Regarding Water Rates

The committee of homeowners met last month with board member Loren Roach present. After much discussion, this committee made three recommendations to the board to raise water rates so that SWUA can cover rising expenses. In turn, the board met on January 6 and voted on the following recommendation to raise rates, which will go into effect with the March 2026 bill:

Every bill will have a new $10 monthly infrastructure fee, which will be used to fund the purchase of the wells. A 5% rate increase for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 will also go into effect. Tier 2 will change from 1400 cf to 2000 cf.

The next board meeting will be on Tuesday, January 20, beginning at 7 pm in the Sage Creek Church. Please plan to attend to hear the latest updates regarding MCI bankruptcy and SWUA's role in this process.

Board Meetings

Board meetings are scheduled for 

the 3rd Tuesday of every other month at the Sagecreek Church.
The January meeting will be held at 7 pm. Meetings are held in Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept & Nov.
The church is located at 6160 Murr Road.
